I swear to god if I see any of y’all calling Freddie motherfucking Mercury a random white guy who died in the 80s I swear to fucking god–

I haven’t even listened to a lot of his music but Freddie is better than Beyonce. 

He wasn’t some “random white guy”. The dude was bisexual. And died of AIDs/HIV during a time where people thought that only street thot gay guys and random hoes on the street caught AIDs/HIV. When he died from complications of AIDs/HIV, it forced everyone to recognize and realize that something needed to be done because anyone could catch AIDs/HIV. Queen was a fucking cultural icon and their music was played everywhere. 

Every football game. Every basketball game. Every get together, etc. especially in the south where there was a lot of homophobia.
